Room for Hope
Creating stability and opportunity for young adults transitioning out of foster care.
Each year, thousands of young adults age out of foster care without stable housing or a support system. Room for Hope unites property management companies, Entrata, and the 29:11 Project to provide safe housing and wraparound support for these youth as they take their next step toward independence.

FAQ.
Entrata partners with local nonprofits to advertise the program and invite qualified youth to apply. After the application deadline, candidates are reviewed and reference interviews are conducted to help identify individuals who are ready to thrive in both the program and the community. The participating property management team will make the final decision from 2-3 vetted applicants and then work directly with the chosen candidate on executing a lease.
The typical commitment is one year, though details can be discussed.
Once participation is confirmed, Entrata and nonprofit partners begin working approximately three months before the anticipated move-in date to identify a participant, coordinate logistics, and plan the room design and move-in experience.
Participating properties will receive two complimentary passes to Summit 2026, exclusive meet-and-greet opportunities, and social recognition celebrating their impact.
Each participating property can determine what expenses they’d like to include as part of their contribution. We’ll include your preference in the application form so expectations are clear from the start. Some properties choose to cover utilities as part of their contribution, while others prefer that the tenant take on these expenses to experience the responsibility of managing bills and due dates.
Entrata partners with local nonprofit organizations to cover the cost of the furnishings and room design elements as part of the Room for Hope program. At the end of the one-year housing term, the furniture and decorbelong to the individual. This allows them to take their items with them as they move into their next home and continue building their independence.
Room for Hope participants are typically young adults aged 18–21 who are legally able to sign leases. The federal Fair Housing Act does not list age as a protected class, but state and local laws may vary. You should consider whether this opportunity is suitable for your particular circumstances. Entrata does not provide tax, accounting,or legal advice, so you should consult with your own professional advisers. Entrata is excited to facilitate this opportunity, but Entrata is not responsible for the ultimate decision to provide an apartment to an individual or any actions that individual may take.
