New in Homebody: The Admin Portal — One Place to Configure and Control the Resident Experience

Opening
Homebody now has a dedicated Admin Portal inside Entrata — a centralized operator workspace to configure what residents see in the app and control the transition from Resident Portal to Homebody. What used to require implementation requests and manual coordination is now self-service, property by property, from a single surface.
What’s New
- Module-level feature configuration. From the Resident Apps section, operators select properties and turn individual Homebody modules on or off — Payments, Maintenance, Amenities, Documents, Rewards, Resident Services, and more. Residents see only what's enabled. Tier-aware controls surface what's available at each Homebody tier and what requires an upgrade.
- Client-controlled Resident Portal enforcement. A Resident Migration settings tab gives operators the ability to set a property-specific enforcement date. After that date, residents opening Resident Portal see a non-dismissible interstitial directing them to Homebody — with download links, QR codes, and a web login option. The messaging automatically reflects the property's branding, whether they run Homebody under their own name or the standard Homebody brand. Residents use their existing credentials. No new accounts, no data loss.
Why It Matters
Until now, operators had no self-service way to manage Homebody at scale. Configuring which features residents could access required filing implementation requests. Resident Portal remained accessible indefinitely, fragmenting the resident base and diluting the value of the Homebody investment. The Admin Portal changes both: operators configure the experience themselves and set a date to consolidate all resident activity in Homebody — accelerating adoption, reducing support volume, and unlocking full engagement with community, marketplace, and rewards.
Why This Works Inside Entrata
Because the Admin Portal is built directly into Entrata — not a separate tool or vendor dashboard — operators manage Homebody alongside the property settings, permissions, and workflows they already use daily. Module toggles respect the property's contracted Homebody tier. Migration enforcement syncs with the property's existing domain and branding, so residents always see the right app name, logo, and download links — regardless of whether the property runs a white-label or standard Homebody experience. And because everything is server-driven, operators can roll out changes on their timeline — one property, a group, or the entire portfolio — without waiting on engineering.
