Entrata Announces New Income Verification and Fraud Prevention Services

New Solutions to Reduce Fraud, Increase Security and Allow for Faster Application Processing
LEHI, UTAH, September 7, 2021 — Entrata, the property management industry’s most comprehensive technology platform, today announced the addition of Experian’s Verification of Income and the integration of Experian’s Precise ID® service to the platform. These services are now available to all clients.
Experian’s Verification of Income and Precise ID solutions are premium features that have been built directly into Entrata’s advanced screening solution, ResidentVerify®, to better protect property managers from fraud risk and empower them to more fully automate the applicant screening process.
Experian’s Verification of Income is a part of the Experian AccountView™ solution powered by Finicity — a Mastercard company — via its open banking technology using consumer-permissioned financial data to automate income verification. It enables property managers to accurately confirm an applicant’s income almost instantaneously by producing a detailed report validating 12 months of deposit transaction data. Precise ID offers a unique view of emerging fraud risk by utilizing a historical database of more than 250 million identity inquiries, along with applicant device verification and authentication questions to enable the screening process to be integrated directly into the application process.
“We understand the critical role that verifying applicant data plays in the screening process, and that when done manually, it can be both time-consuming and costly,” said Chase Harrington, president and chief operating officer at Entrata. “Experian’s Verification of Income and Precise ID offerings are powerful tools that leverage data and automation to simplify the screening process at scale. Ultimately, this enables property managers and leasing staff to devote increased time and attention to the resident experience at their communities.”
These tools give property managers increased control by allowing them to customize how screening criteria are applied at each property and how much of the screening process to automate.
“Entrata’s ResidentVerify is a fantastic product and has long been an integral part of our operations,” said Nikki Chambers, director of systems and training at Hanover. “The addition of Experian’s Verification of Income and Precise ID to this powerful screening tool will only make our processes more streamlined and increase our ability to prevent fraud.”
