Entrata’s Bateman Named As Top Real Estate Software CEO of 2019

December 5 2019

LEHI, Utah Dec. 5, 2019 – Entrata, the multifamily industry’s most comprehensive technology provider, today announced that The Software Report has named Chief Executive Officer Dave Bateman the software industry’s top CEO of 2019.

The Software Report, a leading publication in the software sector, today unveiled its Top 25 Real Estate Software CEOs of 2019 with Bateman atop the impressive list. Bateman was lauded for leading Entrata to $100 million in recurring annual revenue without the benefit of venture capital backing. Bateman launched the company, then known as Property Solutions, in 2003.

“It is genuinely humbling to receive such a prestigious honor and to be recognized among the most innovative minds in the software sector,” Bateman said. “To be fair, this honor is more a reflection of our amazing client base and invaluable team members. Our clients serve as our soundboard as we test and implement new software solutions, and their feedback allows us to constantly improve the product. As for our team, that’s where the magic truly happens.”

The Software Report noted that Bateman developed a passion for coding while studying business at Brigham Young University, and left school early to create the startup that has morphed into one of the real estate industry’s most comprehensive software providers. Entrata, which provides streamlined software solutions for payments, accounting, lease support, resident management and more, is integrated at more than 20,000 rental communities across the nation.

According to the publication, formerly known as The Saas Report, nominees were reviewed across a number of key attributes including integrity, intellect, drive, emotional intelligence, organizational culture and operational skill. They were most closely evaluated based on qualitative and substantive commentary provided on the CEO’s character.

The honor adds to Bateman’s previous recognition as Ernst & Young's 2013 Entrepreneur of the Year and the Utah Business 2015 CEO of the Year.

“It is an extremely relevant time in the real estate software sector, as innovation is being pushed beyond the boundaries,” said Chase Harrington, chief operating officer of Entrata. “Dave’s unflinching leadership perennially keeps Entrata on the cutting edge of technology and allows us to develop solutions that not only exceed the status quo, but genuinely make life easier for those in the rental housing industry.”
