Entrata Highlights Responsiveness, Innovation and User Experience at 2018 Summit

Company introduces new partnerships and integrations with IBM, Google and Amazon

September 14, 2018 - LEHI, Utah - Entrata kicked off its sixth annual user Summit, today, at the Stein Eriksen Lodge in Park City, Utah, bringing together 400 of the multifamily industry’s top executives.

In the opening keynote, CEO Dave Bateman and President Chase Harrington announced partnerships with Google, IBM Watson and a generally available integration with Amazon:

Google. Entrata is partnering with Google to enhance the accessibility of smart home offerings for the multifamily industry. Through our joint efforts, we are working to develop scalable smart apartment solutions that allow for centralized control and automation of property management workflows.

IBM Watson. Coming soon to apartment community websites built using Entrata’s ProspectPortal will be a 24/7 live chat solution with an intuitive bot that can answer property specific questions, provide real-time availability and schedule tours for prospects. Entrata will build the new solution that will be powered by IBM Watson.

Amazon Alexa. The ResidentPortal skill for Amazon Alexa is now generally available. Through Amazon Alexa, residents using Entrata’s ResidentPortal can make rent payments, check their account balances, verify office hours, and find out about upcoming community events.

Responsiveness, innovation and customer experience were at the forefront of minds as both executives outlined the company’s product roadmap. Highlights included:

Entrata Insights, the custom report designer in Entrata, is now in closed beta. The new tool provides a comprehensive way for owners and operators to access, synthesize and format their property management data. Leveraging data from across the entire Entrata platform, all aspects of report packets including page formatting, data analytics, formulas, and graphics can be easily formatted and customized.

Onsite teams are now able to better prioritize leads using two new reports in LeadManager on the Entrata dashboard that score their properties’ leads. The Lead Source Attribution Report ranks lead sources in order of top performance for a community. The Conversion Pathways Report shows the order in which a lead has visited various sources in the marketing funnel, a key step toward multi-touch attribution.

Companies can now use the Leasing Center’s Corporate Care Service for answering calls 24/7 by residents calling the corporate office when they feel their issues are not being resolved at the property level.

The new Do Not Rent List feature for ResidentVerify allows companies to manage an exclusion list in Entrata. The list prevents past residents who have been evicted or moved out with an unpaid balance from being approved for housing within the portfolio.

With more than 35 percent of eCheck returns due to an invalid bank account number, Entrata has released Resident Account Verification to combat invalid bank account returns. The new premium feature available to ResidentPay users prevents returns by verifying a resident's account number in real time.

The Move-in Scheduler for Entrata Student™ will soon allow sites to organize, assign, and manage their move-in days based on a variety of criteria. With options for appointment selection in ResidentPortal, move-in checklist tie-in, and move-in dates set independently from lease start dates, this tool will be available to streamline move-in day for student housing operators.

Beta customers are now live testing the offerings of Entrata Affordable and soon Military for managing the compliance of HUD and tax credit properties and privatized military housing. Entrata Commercial™ is entering the tail end of the beta phase and is fully capable to handle all phases of tenant management, from move in to move out and everything in between.

Summit attendees heard from keynotes Omar Johnson, marketing expert and former CEO of Beats by Dre, Entrepreneur Peter Guber, CEO of Mandalay Entertainment and co-owner of the Golden State Warriors and LA Dodgers and Liz Wiseman, leadership expert and executive advisor. In addition, attendees enjoyed peer-led breakout sessions on topics ranging from marketing and leasing to customer experience and company culture.

Entrata also announced two new charitable giving partnerships with Move for Hunger , collecting non-perishable food items of moving residents to food banks across America, and Operation Underground Railroad, paving the way for permanent eradication of child sex trafficking, and relayed information about its continuing partnership with Shelters to Shutters, providing housing and employment for ready-to-work individuals facing homelessness. Entrata gave a cash contribution totaling $15,000 to the organizations and announced its plans to match an additional $15,000 in donations and dues given by Summit attendees supporting the spotlighted organizations.
