Job Description: 

As a senior member of the product team, the Director of Reporting plays a critical role in the development of a reporting platform that provides thoughtful, accurate, and comprehensive data to hundreds of property management companies ranging from small to enterprise levels.  The Director of Reporting will build and lead a world-class team of Reporting Analysts to deliver standard and custom reports to the platform.  The Director of Reporting will also provide the strategy and vision to meet all data needs of our customers by bringing new, innovative products to market.

 

Product Directors develop and drive their product line’s strategy. They engage with the market to discover jobs-to-be-done, lead the ideation of solutions, and validate the impact of those solutions to ensure the delivery of value to our customers. Product Directors represent the voice of the customer within our organization and act as the face of the product to the market.  

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead a team of product managers and reporting analysts responsible for the execution and delivery of reports that delight our customers, using efficient processes that convert data requests into actionable plans and deliverables as quickly as possible.

  • Perform discovery with customers to gather feedback on current and upcoming reporting needs.

  • Develop a business strategy and vision around client-facing reporting that both addresses current client needs and transforms Entrata into a market leader in Business Intelligence and Analytics.

  • Evaluate and champion solutions that will provide new ways for our customers to gain understanding and insight into all platform data that exists today.

  • Cultivate productive and successful relationships with department leaders across the organization, including Product, Development, QA and UX.

  • Partner with the Director of Engineering over Data to craft and define the business requirements of an enterprise data platform, and break down barriers that prevent customers from having access to accurate data presented in accordance with industry standards.

What you must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent product management experience

  • 3+ years of management experience

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong organizational and presentation abilities

  • Ability to work on many projects and project teams simultaneously

What puts you over the top:

  • Experience with property management software (MRI, Yardi, AMSI, etc.)

  • Experience with product development and design

  • Previous software development experience
  • Experience in the multifamily housing industry and processes preferred
