Chief of Staff



Job Description: 

The Chief of Staff is key to the success of Entrata’s executive team and reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer. This position will act as both an advisor to the CEO and a delegate on his behalf. You will partner closely with the Senior Leadership team to develop, communicate and execute strategic plans across the business. Day-to-day responsibilities are dynamic and will vary greatly based on the candidate & the business needs at the time. This role serves as a potential pipeline to senior operational roles at Entrata. A successful candidate must be hungry to learn, works hard, and has a foundation of good business knowledge including excellent communication skills, decision-making ability, and a drive to excel.


Responsibilities will include

Internal Communications and Coordination:

  • Organize and run key meetings within the Marketing organization including team meetings, staff meetings, offsites, etc.

  • Establish and own critical communications strategy within the org, as well as to Entrata and external customer stakeholders.

  • Cultivate relationships with stakeholders across Marketing senior leaders, as well as the sales, Products, Customer Experience, and Technology organizations in order to closely align business objectives and work effectively together.

Operations Management:

  • Serve as a point of contact and liaison for critical Corporate Functions including People & Purpose (HR), Talent Acquisition, Finance, Corporate Development, etc.

  • Support executive reporting on key issues, budgets, and metrics.

  • Promote operational excellence: identifying and executing opportunities to optimize our organizational systems and processes with a focus on agility.

  • Support CEO in promoting employee professional development and identifying/implementing leadership and organizational development opportunities for top leaders, in close partnership with People & Purpose partners.

  • Responsible for setting and tracking team progress against OKRs.

Special Initiatives and Projects:

  • Lead key operational initiatives, working closely with key stakeholders within and outside of the organization. 

  • Establish and track progress and status reporting across Marketing org, including harmonizing processes with key stakeholders across teams.

  • Conduct strategic research for key projects, including, but not limited to, investment opportunities, and key process improvements.

Trusted Advisor

  • Partner with CEO on key organizational changes, leadership alignment, and process improvements in order to ensure vision and strategy is top-of-mind.

  • Serve as representative for CEO in various meetings, and forums as appropriate.

  • Advise on confidential matters and maintain a high level of discretion.


Minimum Qualifications

  • 10+ years of relevant business experience in a business, consulting, or executive management role.

  • BA, BS, or equivalent in Business, Product Strategy, Marketing, Communications/PR or related field. 

  • Strong program management skills to drive multiple initiatives in a changing environment with limited supervision

  • Experience navigating complex / matrixed business organizations and negotiating optimal solutions across cross-functional teams

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with experience managing employee and executive communications needs of a large organization.

  • Proven ability to create, implement and improve processes


Preferred Qualifications

  • Deep experience working in an enterprise-level SaaS organization

  • Strong knowledge of the Fin-Tech, Property Management, or Online Payment industry

  • Masters Degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field

  • Background in Product management or Software Engineering
