Job Description: 

Entrata’s Payroll Specialist is who we rely on to create an exceptional employee experience by being an strong subject matter expert, supporting employees with payroll inquiries, and partnering with cross-functional teams to effectively communicate business impacts.  As part of our People team based in our Lehi, UT HQ this role requires the ability to work with integrity, communicate with sincerity, and masterfully blend acute attention to detail with operational innovation.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare & process end to end semi-monthly multi-state payroll including: variable pay, garnishments, time & attendance, for 1000+ employees 

  • Collaborate with peers in People team regarding employee onboarding/offboarding processes

  • Support People Operations Coordinator with accurate & timely input of new hires, terminations and other employee-related records

  • Address employee and management-level inquiries

  • Act as a trusted advisor by critically reviewing and analyzing current payroll and tax procedures and regulations in order to recommend and implement changes leading to best-practice operations

  • Execute internal audit functions to maintain quality and accuracy of data; assist with labor and security company audits

  • Create employee & management educational resources for internal payroll procedures

  • Effectively design and distribute data-backed insights into stories, trends, reports and dashboards to communicate organizational trends to cross-functional teams

  • Support People Operations Director with vendor implementation to effectively utilize software and communicate internal changes

  • Work closely with Finance team to identify and create analytics for forecasting and budget planning

  • Manage confidential information with objectivity

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years Payroll or HR experience, with multi-state employees

  • Must possess excellent time management, organizational, and strong written & verbal communication skills

  • Knowledgeable of federal, state, and local labor laws

  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now preferred

  • Experience with MS Excel and Google suite
