Entrata Summit Giving Initiatives

Posted by: Entrata | Category: Summit

Each year at the Summit, Entrata shares the spotlight with an organization that is doing the work of making our world a better place. We share their stories and make donations in the name of our clients and Summit attendees.

This year, our efforts are tripled, and the Summit giving initiative covers three unique and powerful organizations. They include:

Operation Underground Railroad: O.U.R. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to eradicating child trafficking and child sexual exploitation around the world. Their mission is to shine a light worldwide on the global epidemic of child sex trafficking and in so doing rescue more children from slavery and assist law enforcement to seek justice for those that violate them. O.U.R. places survivors on a path to recovery by partnering with vetted aftercare providers. Entrata has donated $5,000 to O.U.R. and will match client donations up to an additional $5,000 at the Summit. (Watch video.)

Move for Hunger: Move for Hunger is a nonprofit organization committed to fighting hunger and reducing food waste. The organization has helped feed more than 11 million people and organizes thousands of employee and resident-engagement events annually. The multifamily industry is in a unique position to put meals on the table for those who need it most. Property management companies across the U.S. join Move for Hunger to encourage residents to donate non-perishable food during move-out, instead of letting it go to waste. Entrata has donated $5,000 to Move for Hunger and will match $100 in start-up donations for any community that signs on with the Move for Hunger program during the Summit. (Watch video.)

Shelters to Shutters: For three years, Entrata has partnered with Shelters to Shutters to help raise money to  relieve homelessness in our communities. This national organization helps transition individuals and families from homelessness to economic self-sufficiency by educating and engaging the real estate industry to provide employment and housing opportunities. The program works with those facing homelessness to identify candidates ready for a career in property management, and offers a pipeline of high quality, motivated employees for its multifamily industry partners. Entrata has donated $5,000 to Shelters to Shutters and will match client donations up to an additional $5,000 at the Summit. (Watch video.)
